MC Rebbe The Rapping Rabbi, is an award winning stand-up comedian, rapper, musician, DJ, VJ, journalist, television presenter, producer and remixer, but above all, MC Rebbe is a Jew!

As a comedian MC Rebbe has been proclaimed “A Woody Allen from Edgware,” Independent, “The Woody Allen of Edgware,” Guardian, “A phenomenon in entertainment,” James Whale, “Hysterically Hilarious,” Stage, “God’s comedian,” BBC GLR and “A cross between Jackie Mason, Mel Brooks and Woody Allen, with a bit of Lenny Bruce’s sharp tongue thrown in.” Jewish Gazette.

In the past, MC Rebbe has written, directed and performed sell-out one man comedy shows at four successive Edinburgh Festivals, two successive Glastonbury Festivals, has performed extensively on the British comedy circuit and has hosted his own regular Jewish comedy club, ‘From The Ghetto’.

MC Rebbe’s now legendary dance music performances at underground clubs in London & Amsterdam resulted in he and his Kosher House music being proclaimed “A disco sensation” Evening Standard and “More kickin’ than karate” Mixmag.

MC Rebbe has appeared as a guest on a multitude of TV and radio shows, as a panellist at various music industry events and has written columns for two national publications.

He was the first VJ (video jockey) to appear regularly on British network television (on ITV’s ˜The Little Picture Show) and as a DJ, his award winning New Romantic revival club night ‘Pretension‘ was largely responsible for the 80’s revival…so now you know who to blame!
